Article 1 This Rule is formulated according to Type Test Specification for Cranes in order to standardize type test of portal crane and to improve quality of type test.
Article 2 This Rule is applicable to portal crane for type test of power station, harbour portal crane, fixed crane, port table frame crane, portal crane with self-funnel, shipyard portal crane and hydraulic folding type crane.
Article 3 The technical parameters and requirements in this Rule are quoted from the following primary standards:
(I) GB/T 3811—1983 Design Rules for Cranes;
(II) GB 6067—1985Safety Rules for Lifting Appliances;
(III) GB/T 5905—1986 Cranes--Test Code and Procedures;
(IV) GB/T 17495—2001 Specifications for the Harbour Portal Crane;
(V) JT/T 5036.2 —1993 Specifications of the Mounted Crane and the Table Frame Crane for Inland River Habours;
(VI) JT/T 99 —1994 Test Method for the Harbour Portal Crane;
(VII) JT/T 337—1998 Test method for the Harbour Fixed Crane and the Harbour Pedestal Crane.
Article 4 The model machines provided by the manufacturing unit of portal crane (hereinafter referred to as the manufacturing unit) shall meet the following requirements:
(I) Consistent with design document;
(II) The safety protection devices passes type test as required;
(III) Qualified in self-checking
The model machine shall be carried out with supervision inspection as required; the type test shall be carried out based on qualified supervision inspection.
Article 5 During type test, the manufacturing unit shall provide the following documents:
(I) Design documents, including general layout, drawing of main load-carrying structure members, drawing of vital parts and relevant calculating data;
(II) Self-checking report, product quality qualification as well as installation and operation instructions;
(III) Type test qualification of safety protection devices;
(IV) Inspection record or qualification of main load-carrying structure members, vital parts, operating mechanism, control mechanism as well as electric and control system;
(V) Quality inspection document during manufacturing process;
(VI) Calculation and checking information on the turn-over resistance and stability (including basic stability, dynamic stability, windstorm striking, sudden unloading, installation and disassembly) of complete machine;
(VII) Certification on manufacture supervision and inspection (applicable to those in need of manufacture supervision and inspection).
The general layout of model machine, drawing of main load-carrying structure members and drawing of vital parts shall be signed by manufacturing unit, supervision inspection organization and type test organization; they shall be sealed and preserved by the manufacturing unit; the supervision inspection organization and type test organization only reserve general layout and drawing of main load-carrying structure members.
