1.1 This standard specifies the additional safety rules for the construction and installation of lift for explosive atmospheres used in Zones 1 and 2 of explosive gas atmosphere and Zones 21 and 22 of flammable dust atmosphere defined in GB 25285.1-2010.
1.2 This standard is applicable to the design, construction, installation, inspection and maintenance of electrically-driven pull-type, forced-type and hydraulic lift for explosive atmospheres with rated speed not greater than 1m/s.
1.3 The lift for explosive atmospheres used in special circumstances (like severe climate condition and seismic condition) shall not only meet those specified in this standard, but also meet the specific requirements.
1.4 This standard is not applicable to:
a) The construction and installation of lift for explosive atmospheres used in Zone 0 of explosive gas atmosphere and Zone 20 of flammable dust atmosphere defined in GB 25285.1-2010;
b) The lift used in hazardous zone like explosion due to the reaction between flammable substance and oxidizer (except oxygen) in atmosphere or other hazardous reaction and the explosion generated under non-atmospheric condition;
c) The lift for explosive atmospheres constructed and installed before implementation of this standard;
