1 Scope
This standard specifies the fuel consumption test method on the vehicles M2, M3 and N with the maximum total mass larger than or equal to 2t.
This standard is applicable to the vehicles M2, M3 and N with the maximum total mass larger than or equal to 2t.

3 Test Conditions
3.1 Load of test vehicle
The load of M2 and M3 passenger cars is 65% of its loading capacity except for special regulations. The load of the other vehicles is full-load, and the passenger quality and its loading requirements shall meet the requirements of GB/T 12534.
3.2 Test apparatus
Measuring instrument of speed, 0.5% of the precision;
Fuel flow meter, 0.5% of the precision;
Timer, the minimum reading is 0.1s.
3.3 General Requirements for Test
3.3.1 The test vehicle must be clean with the car windows and the cab air-vent are closed, and is allowed to work for the essential apparatus for driving the vehicle only.
3.3.2 The airflow controlled by the thermostat must be at a state of normal adjustment.
3.4 The test vehicles must be grinded in as required, and the other test conditions of road test as well as the preparations of test vehicles shall meet the requirements of GB/T 12534.
3.5 The other test conditions of test on the dynamometer of base plate may refer to the requirements of GB/T 12545.1 "Passenger car-Fuel consumption test method", except for the load of test vehicle is according to the requirements of Clause 3.1 in this standard.
3.6 Fuel for test use shall meet the requirements of the vehicle manufacturer.
3.7 The type of tyre shall be selected as required of the vehicle manufacturer that it is regarded as the original parts, and the type shall be inflated with the corresponding tire inflation pressure with the maximum test load and the maximum test speed as recommended by the manufacturer. The tyre can be grinded in with the vehicle simultaneously or the design depth shall be 50 ~ 90 % of that of the beginning.
