This Standard sets out the requirements for protecting persons from electric hazards when the electric vehicle is not connected with external power supply.
For the requirements when the electric vehicle is connected with external power supply, refer to
GB/T 18487.2.
This Standard applies to the electric passenger cars with the maximum working voltage of onboard circuit lower than 660 V(AC) or 1,000 V(DC) (according to GB 156), and the electric commercial vehicles with the GVW not exceeding 3,500 kg. It could be followed as reference by electric vehicles with GVW exceeding 3,500 kg.
This Standard doesn’t involve any guidance on assembly, maintenance or repair of electric vehicles.
