3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this code.
3.1
Oil and gas construction engineering
It refers to the engineering efforts such as planning, survey, engineering and construction, completion and the completed engineering entity carried out for building, rebuilding or expanding oil-gas field construction, oil & gas storage and transportation, as well as its supporting facilities.
3.2
Quality of oil and gas construction engineering
It refers to the total ability of oil and gas construction engineering meeting the express and implied characteristics in structure, safety, use function, durability and environment protection as well as relevant standard provisions or contract agreement.
3.3
Acceptance
On the basis of the quality of oil and gas construction engineering passing the self-inspection and evaluation of construction organization, all organizations participating in the development activities jointly carry out sampling reinspection for the quality of inspection lot, subitem project, subsection (sub-subsection) project and unit (subunit) project and make written confirmation for the construction quality according to relevant standards.
3.4
Site acceptance
It refers to the inspection carried out for the on-site material, components, and equipment according to relevant standard provisions to make a confirmation on the quantity conformity condition.
3.5
Inspection lot
It refers to an inspection body composed of a certain quantity of samples collected for inspection according to the same production conditions or the specified mode.
3.6
Inspection
It refers to activity of conducting measurement, inspection and tests for the properties of testing items, comparing the results and the requirements, and determining the conformity of each property.
3.7
Evidential testing
It refers to the inspection that the persons concerned of the construction organization do sampling on site under the supervision of the supervision organization or the development organization, and send the sample to the testing organization with corresponding qualification for inspection.
3.8
Handing over inspection
It refers to the activity that undertaker and completing party conduct the inspection and make a conform whether the construction can be continued.
3.9
Dominant item
It refers to the inspection item dominating the quality and public interest in oil and gas construction engineering.
3.10
General item
Inspection items except for the dominant items.
3.11
Sampling inspection
It refers to the inspection by randomly selecting a certain amount of samples by inspection lot from site material, components, equipment or oil and gas construction engineering inspection items according to the required sampling scheme.
