1.0.1 This national standard is established to improve the construction level of industrial metallic piping and to ensure the engineering quality.
1.0.2 This national standard is applicable to the construction and acceptance of industrial metallic piping (hereinafter referred to as piping) with the design pressure no greater than 42MPa and the design temperature not exceeding the permissible operation temperature of materials.
1.0.3 It is inapplicable to the special piping for the nuclear-energy plants, for the shafts and long-distant transportation piping.
1.0.4 The construction of piping shall be carried out according to design documents. Any changes to the design shall be confirmed by the original design unit and approved by the construction unit.
1.0.5 The piping for the on-site assembled machines or equipment shall be made according to technical documents of the manufacturer, but the quality standard shall be no lower than that stated in this national standard.
1.0.6 The construction of piping shall, besides provisions in this national standard, implement relevant current national standards and codes.
